Structure-Completion Ceremony of the Astronomy-Mathematics Building Held on November 28, 2007
A completion ceremony for the steel construction of the Astronomy-Mathematics Building, located on the National Taiwan University campus, was held at 10:00 am on November 28, 2007.
This building will house the ASIAA, the AS Mathematics Institute and their NTU counterparts (about 800 persons in total), and will enhance the long-term academic collaborations among them.
The Astronomy-Mathematics Building is scheduled to be completed by June of 2008. The International Conference Hall on the first floor of this new building, which can accommodate 204 persons, will be available to all Institutes and research centers of Academia Sinica for holding international academic conferences in downtown Taipei.
